13 dead, 13 injured in Juarez shooting,

As many as 15 gunmen stormed into a house party in Juarez, Mexico, in the early hours of Sunday morning and opened fire, killing at least 13 people and injuring 13 others in one of the deadliest attacks the city has seen this year, a police official said.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in southern Juarez, police spokesman Jacinto Seguro told CNN.

"Witnesses said the gunmen arrived in seven cars, closing down the streets and blocking exits," Seguro said. "They then stormed into the party and began shooting as the group was watching a soccer game," he said, adding that windshields and windows on the cars were darkly tinted.

The victims' ages were between 14 and 19, Seguro said. No other information about the victims was immediately available.

"We're still trying to establish a motive," Seguro said.

More than 100 AK-47 bullet casings were found around the crime scene, Seguro said.

The AK-47 -- known in Mexico by its slang name of "cuerno de chivos," meaning "goat's horn," in reference to the gun's banana-shaped clip -- is the weapon of choice for drug cartels.

On Friday, at least seven bullet-riddled bodies were found scattered throughout northern Juarez, according to police.

Recently, there had been a relative downturn in violence in the city across the border from El Paso, Texas, with a reported ceasefire between two rival cartels battling for rights to the critical Juarez drug route into the United States. The reported ceasefire between the Sinaloa Cartel and the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel, commonly known as the Juarez Cartel, was expected to last until February 28, according to a local source who covers the conflict between the two cartels.

At least 160 people have been killed in Juarez since the start of the year, according to local reports.

Beyonce has six Grammys

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- Beyonce snatched another Grammy from Taylor Swift, winning the best female pop vocal performance award Sunday night.

The singer has won six Grammys all told, including one in the major category of song of the year. That honor, a songwriters' award, was given to Beyonce for co-writing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)."

For the best female pop honor, won for "Halo," the nervous singer thanked her family, "including my husband -- I love you." Beyonce is married to hip-hop star Jay-Z.

Alternative rock band Kings of Leon upset favorites Beyonce and Taylor Swift to win the record of the year Grammy for "Use Somebody."

The win gave the Kings of Leon three Grammys out of four nominations this year, all thanks to last year's "Only by the Night" album. The same album gave them three nominations last year, one of which they won.

"Use Somebody" lost out earlier in the show to Beyonce's "SIngle Ladies" for song of the year.

"The best thing about winning Grammys is really it's the first time our family gets to see the success we're having," Kings lead singer Caleb Followill said backstage. "We're getting my mom wasted."

Winners Sunday night also included Stephen Colbert, the Zac Brown Band and Green Day, but the focus of the broadcast was the face-off between Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Michael Jackson's two oldest children took the Grammy stage Sunday night to accept their father's lifetime achievement award.

"We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father," 12-year-old Prince Michael said at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.

He then thanked "God for watching over us these last seven months and our grandmother and grandfather for their love and support."

Prince Michael also spoke about his father's concern for Earth's environment.

"To all his songs, his message was simple, love," Prince Michael said. "We will continue to spread his message and help the world."

"We love you daddy," he said.

Paris, 11, then spoke: "Daddy was suppose to be here. Daddy was going to perform last year. Thank you. We love you daddy."

Prince Michael and Paris, along with several cousins, wore black suits with red stripes on their pants and red armbands.

The children appeared after a rousing performance of Michael Jackson's "Earth Song," with a recording of Jackson accompanied by live performances from Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson and Jennifer Hudson.

Country-pop singer Swift, who earned eight Grammy nominations, won best country album, for her CD "Fearless."

"I feel like I'm accepting an impossible dream," she said as she accepted, looking shocked. The award was Swift's third overall -- she won two in pre-telecast ceremonies.

The Zac Brown Band won best new artist. Lady Gaga, considered by many to be this year's biggest breakout act, was ruled ineligible because she had a song released and nominated last year.

Stephen Colbert won best comedy album for "A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!" Rap/sung collaboration went to Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West.

Green Day won best rock album.

"Now I'm going to do shots with Kings of Leon," Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong said.

Lady Gaga, whose performance opened the show, won two Grammys presented in the pre-telecast. Her single "Poker Face" beat out songs by the Black Eyed Peas, Madonna and Britney Spears in the best dance recording category. Her CD "The Fame" also won a Grammy for best electronic/dance.

Robert Pattinson: Hottie, Vampire, Cartoon Character?

Robert Pattinson is a jack-of-all-trades. When he's not breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls with his is-he-or-isn't-he romance with co-star Kristen Stewart, waving wands alongside Harry Potter, or playing the world's most disco-fabulous vampire, R-Patz is being immortalized as a comic book character, much to the delight of... well, we're not quite sure who.

E! Online reports that Bluewater Comics is producing a 32-page comic book about , entitled 'FAME: Robert Pattinson' will chronicle the actor's rise to stardom, from his days as a young stage actor in England to the current media frenzy surrounding Pattinson, his love life, and his impeccable bedhead.

Kim Sherman, author of the Pattinson biography, says, "I love having the ability to introduce high-profile people to readers through an unexpected medium that is both written and visual... I chose to conceptualize A-lister Robert Pattinson from a unique perspective, immersing the reader into the life of the talented actor beyond his most famous role."

Pattinson is in good company among the other celebs profiled by Bluewater, a list that includes Michelle Obama, J.K. Rowling, and Lady Gaga.

Hollywood Didn't Kill Brittany Murphy

Hollywood breaks hearts. Absolutely. Regularly. And guaranteed by the crack of Sunday morning box-office estimates.

But does Hollywood cause heart attacks? Did it cause Brittany Murphy's, as her widower, Simon Monjack, attests?

Right. As in, wrong.

Let's start from the top: On Wednesday, the Daily Beast reported Monjack was "only days away" from filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Warner Bros., a complaint that supposedly will allege that the studio fatally stressed out the 32-year-old actress when it fired her from the planned sequel to Happy Feet. Said Monjack: "They killed her."

Warner Bros. fired back saying, one, Murphy wasn't fired, as she'd never been hired, and, two, any suggestion that Murphy's death was its fault was "demonstrably false, reprehensible and defamatory."

We're clear on, and not unsympathetic to, the studio's position. But curious nonetheless, we asked a couple of lawyers if there was precedent for a company being found liable for literally, if figuratively, breaking someone's heart.

Take a wild guess what they said.

"I have never heard of a case of this kind," Shawn Chapman Holley, an attorney who's repped the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Mike Tyson, told us via email, "and I would be very surprised if it were to withstand judicial scrutiny."

Another legal eagle, William H. Newkirk, who specializes in wrongful-death suits, was likewise dubious of Hollywood being found at fault in, or even being asked to answer for, Murphy's Dec. 20 death.

"I won't say Simon won't find a lawyer to file his claim," Newkirk said, "but not one to win the case…I just can't imagine this meets the criteria of California law."

We imagine if you rolled your eyes, shook your head or otherwise reacted with disdain when you read about the could-be lawsuit, you are not surprised by these opinions, although probably still disgusted by the story. Monjack does seem to specialize in eliciting that emotion.

And to be sure, it seems the height of something—scapegoating? irresponsibility? absurdity?—to pin a fatal heart attack on a career gone south, and to not only assign blame, but to seek affirmation from the courts, to lobby a jury to declare, "Yes, folks, that's right, Happy Feet 2 did it."

An interesting twist, though, is that while Newkirk told us he's never heard of anybody successfully litigating a lawsuit like the one Monjack's proposing, he's heard plenty of somebodies talk about filing lawsuits that seem just as outrageous.

The somebodies invariably are mourners, and once heads clear, their threats cool.

"People, because of grief, come to lawyers all the time, and want to do something," Newkirk said. "People threaten lawsuits in retaliation for hard feelings, borne out of grief and personal loss. I think that's what this is."

We're not going to guess at Monjack's motives. We're going to hope they're pure, if clouded by grief. The Brittany Murphy story is sad enough as is. We don't need to imagine craven postscripts. And nobody needs to entertain, or be threatened by, a lawsuit that argues the wrong point.

Jersey Shore Cast Signs for Season Two!

We're going to need more lotion here.

MTV has ordered up a second season of Jersey Shore and all your faves have signed on for another go-around, sources close to the negotiations tell E! News.

It being the winter time (meaning less tanning, more gym and laundry), Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Jenni "JWoww" Farley and the other lucky wicked-awesome types who live with them were all available for off-season negotiations.

But, considering how big-time they all are now, what with the crowded club appearances and the famous fans, we hear that it was a little trickier geting them all onboard this time around.

The New York Post reported this week that the GTL mates wanted $10,000 per episode, and lots of leeway for club appearances, for their continued participation in the surprise hit.

MTV won't even confirm at this time that they've sealed any deals, let alone what they've had to shell out to keep their prize stallions (and fillies) in the stable.

Review Langsung Soundrenaline 2009 (Tamat)

Ini merupakan sebuah posting bagian kedua mengenai Soundrenaline 2009 yang baru baru ini diadakan di Pulau Dewata. Setelah posting sebelumnya tidak selesai karena kesalahan teknis,akhirnya atas berkat rahmat Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa saya diberikan kekuatan untuk menyelesaikan tulisan ini. (Hmm.. malah lebih mirip pidato ya ..)

Okeh, silahkan dibaca lanjutannya ...

Setelah mendapatkan tiket tepat pada jam 3 sore,akhirnya saya dan teman-teman siap untuk berangkat. Tetapi ternyata rencana kembali tidak berjalan lancar. Salah seorang teman datang dan dia membawa sebotol Arak (kalau ga tau apa itu Arak,silahkan tanyakan Mbah Google :D) .Jadi sebelum berangkat kami ”berpesta” sejenak.
Akhirnya kami berangkat saat jam di HP menunjukkan angka 5. Damn,molor dua jam dari rencana semula.

Sebuah perjalanan yang ternyata sangat panjang, biasanya kalau pada hari normal. Jarak dari kost teman saya menuju GWK (tempat konser berlangsung) dapat ditempuh dalam waktu 5 menit. Tapi kali ini 30 menit ! Hal ini disebabkan karena antrian kendaraan yang sangat panjang. Apalagi ditambah calo yang memenuhi jalan untuk menjajakan tiketnya.

Hmm.. pernah mendengar istilah ”satu buah gambar dapat menjelaskan lebih baik dari pada satu paragraf tulisan” ? Mungkin tidak,sebab istilah itu saya yang ngarang sendiri. he..he..

Nah,sesampainya disana.Kami langsung menuju ke Stage Festival (Nama salah satu area panggung yang tersedia) dan disambut dengan Disco Darurat suguhan dari The Upstairs (Gambar 2)



Saya juga sempat mengabadikan aksi para penonton yang naik ke atas tebing untuk menyaksikan aksi para pujaannya. (Gambar 3) Sungguh nekat. he..he..



Setelah aksi The Upstairs selesai, Berturut-turut penonton yang hadir dihibur oleh :

- Kotak : Favorit kaum adam nih

- Koil : No comment

- J-Rocks : Sempat mendapat cemoohan dari penonton karena telat datang,tapi terbalaskan dengan aksi panggungnya yang memukau

- Burger kill : No Comment lagi

- Pee Wee Gaskins : Diawali dengan teriakan dari para penonton yang menyuruh mereka turun.Padahal mereka belum bernyanyi. Lalu dilanjutkan dengan sandal,stik drum,botol hingga ember yang berterbangan ke arah panggung. (Sumpah saya ga ikut nimpukin ! Peace.he..he. ) Dan di hiasi dengan lautan jari tengah dari hampir sebagian besar para penonton ke arah panggung.What’s wrong? Saya jadi bingung.Lalu puncaknya adalah (Gambar 4)



Hampir semua penonton berbalik arah,para penonton tidak lagi mengahadap ke arah panggung 1 dimana Pee Wee Gaskins sedang bernyanyi,tapi justru menghadap ke arah panggung 2 yang gelap dan hanya diisi para kru yang sedang mempersiapkan peralatan untuk konser selanjutnya.
hmm.. sebenarnya aksi panggung Pee Wee Gaskins cukup menarik,tapi sayangnya tenggelam oleh arogansi sebagian besar penonton.

Kejadian ini membuat saya mengingat satu kalimat yang harusnya diketahui oleh para penonton.” Tidak perlu menjadi penggemarnya untuk sekedar menghormatinya ”
Okeh,lanjuutt..


- Netral ( Garuda didadaku ! kebetulan pada saat itu mereka akan merayakan hari jadinya. So, Happy Birthday to Netral.)

- Superman Is Dead (We Are Outsiders. Saya rasa Ini yang paling ditunggu para penonton. Lagu Saint My life hingga Lady rose mampu membuat koor kompak yang membungkam aksi band lainnya.Aksi panggung SID membuat saya tidak mempunyai waktu hanya untuk sekedar mengambil gambar. Pokoknya Fantasticlah ! Setelah lagu terakhir dinyanyikan,Para penonton kompak berteriak : Lagi..lagi..lagi...

- Pas Band : Not Bad lah, saya rasa para penonton sudah cukup lelah setelah menikmati aksi SID tadi,sehingga koor nya kurang meriah.

- Saint Loco : Mantap ! Saya rasa aksi panggung mereka sangat baik,(setelah SID tentunya) Apalagi disusul dengan penampilan Astrid saat menyanyikan lagu ”kedamaian” . Kereen ! ditambah satu lagu exclusive yang menurut mereka baru pertama kali di nyanyikan untuk public.

Memang masih banyak lagi penampilan dari grup-grup Band papan atas lainnya. Seperti Nidji,Ungu,Gigi dll. Tapi sayangnya letak antara Stage cukup berjauhan.Jadi saya tidak sempat menyaksikannya.

Sebuah malam yang menyenangkan, dan saya rasa cukup membuat sebuah ”penyesalan” bagi yang tidak sempat menyaksikannya.

Review Langsung Soundrenaline 2009 (bersambung)

Pada hari Minggu 15 November 2009 yang lalu,diadakan sebuah acara musik terkeren untuk tahun 2009. It's SOUNDRENALINE . Khusus untuk tahun ini, Soundrenaline hanya diadakan di Pulau Bali.Tepatnya di GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kencana) . Dan saya termasuk salah satu orang yang beruntung dapat menyaksikan secara langsung . he..he.. (For owner Trickstory.info,saya tahu betapa menyesalnya anda karena tidak sedang berada di Bali. wkwkwkkkk..)

Ada banyak hal menarik yang saya alami dan saksikan secara langsung disana. Mulai dari penampilan grup band papan atas (yang biasanya hanya nongol di TV) sampai "penghinaan" dari para penonton untuk salah satu band yang tampil disana.



Seperti layaknya konser-konser lainnya,persoalan tiket ternyata tetap menjadi persoalan klasik. Sampai jam setengah 3 sore, tiket belum sampai ditangan. Padahal Di Jadwal resmi,acara akan dimulai tepat jam 3. waduuh.. Gajah makan kawat,alias Gawat.

Akhirnya tepat jam 3, salah satu teman yang bertugas mengurus tiket datang juga. fiuuh,hampir saja rencana nontonnya batal.

Hmm.. karena satu dan lain hal,postingan ini harus diakhiri dulu,nanti saya sambung lagi..

(diketik di perpustakaan kampus saat jam dilaptop menunjukkan angka 3:55 PM . Sedangkan teman saya bilang kalau perpustakaannya akan ditutup jam 4:00 PM :D)
